I love a classic summer dress. This DVF number can easily look vintage or modern, but I generally like to land somewhere in the middle. You know, a little from column A and a little from column B.
In all sincerity, this outline in a simple color in buttons is one of the more versatile things you can have in your summer wardrobe. You can wear a top underneath for a peek of something fun, where a slip dress underneath and unbotton and belt for some whimsy, add a straw hat and go pastoral, go with pops of colors or patterns for a bold look, etc. As I’m typing this, I’m wishing I would have shot all the ways to wear this dress. Darn!
However, this one is expensive. With a $500 price tag, I definitely can’t afford to own it. I can merely rent, however much I long to own it. That’s why I’ve rounded up some amazing finds that have a similar look and feel ranging from $20-$200.
If you’d like to rent or buy this dress, here are the links. For reference, I’m a size 14 and wearing an LR. The bust was a bit tight on me, so I’d size up. There are only a few sizes left for purchase, but you can rent in all sizes! Pro-tip: if you rent from RTR, you can always purchase an item you really love at a discounted price!
sunglasses – Sojos sunnies only $14.99 and available on Amazon
shoes – $25 recently back by popular demand on Shein and I wear them ALL THE TIME. They seriously look like designer shoes. The price to quality ratio with this purchase has been stellar.
AND here is my round-up of some adorable dress alternatives that are much cheaper. I’m definitely going to be purchasing some of these. I’m on the hunt for a cheaper replacement!
