Spice Alley
Bucket list item #2811 Spice Alley Sydney, Australia Why yes, that is me stuffing my face with dumplings. Why yes, they were certainly delicious! That’s the magic of Spice Alley: everything is delicious. You don’t know what Spice Alley is? Let me indulge you. Spice Alley is, as the name says, a little alley in Sydney filled with a diverse array of Asian cuisines ranging from Singaporean to Indian to Malaysian. There are all sorts of Asian choices. So much so that it’s overwhelming. I went with a group of friends and the amount of time it took us to decide what to eat was a little painful. This place…
Hubert
Bucket list item # 2810 eat at Hubert Sydney, Australia Every once in a while, I throw in the towel and put zero effort into taking photos of a bucket list check. Sorry, guys! We went to Hubert for our anniversary and I just couldn’t be bothered with bringing my camera, especially considering the fact that the place was so darn dark. It seemed like a battle I wasn’t willing to fight. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to talk about it though! Hubert is a French restaurant in Sydney with all the ambiance. Its low lighting is reminiscent of candles and the wafting music is just loud enough to…

Then they told me not to go there. There were a lot of laughs all around, but I didn’t heed their warnings. Here lies the second time a bucket list check went awry. To be fair, I’ve checked 119 things off my bucket list thus far, so I’m batting at a ridiculously high average. My friend Jess was nice enough to escort me to Homebush, which is where the former Olympic housing…
Symbio Wildlife Park
Most of the things I do on vacation are carefully curated bucket list checks. Ya’ll know about my extensive bucket list and how obsessive I am with it. This was not one of them. This was a suggestion from friends because all I really wanted to do was pet kangaroos and this experience DELIVERED. Symbio Wildlife Park is one of those Sydney experiences that needs to be added to your bucket list. It’s a small wildlife park with a moderate number of animals, but what you get in exchange (rather than at a zoo) is a more intimate experience. The education shows are small and intimate and offer opportunities to…
