The Best (and easiest) Chocolate Chip Cookies
Everyone needs the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, not to mention the perfect base dough. This recipe from Tasty is exactly that. You’d be hard pressed to find a better chocolate chip cookie with so little work. The dough is full of rich toffee tones and I’ve many times used it as a base for other cookies. You can add something like cocoa powder or extracts like lemon to take these cookies an entirely different direction. The possibilities are really endless with this dough, so I encourage you to get creative with your flavors and fillings!

INGREDIENTS:
½ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chunks
4 oz dark chocolate chunk, or your preference
(I also love to try different combinations for the chips. My favorite so far has been peanut butter chips with chocolate espresso chips.)
As this is not my recipe, please head to Tasty for full directions.
And for God’s sake, try these damn cookies. They’re life changing.
